How do the movers prevent the floors from getting scratched?
The movers we recommend will use warehouse pads or blankets. There can be a charge for these so we work with the moving company to understand their charges.
Is tipping customary, and what is the standard tip?
Tipping the movers is not necessary, however, it is greatly appreciated. The amount is totally up to you. Typically, an extra $5 per hour per mover up to $10 or more for service that was outstanding.
What if something gets damaged during the move?
Your satisfaction is our number one goal. We will do everything possible to prevent damages. In the event that something is damaged that we have packed, we have liability insurance coverage. When the moving company packs furniture and high value items they are responsible if something happens to those items. We recommend that our clients consider replacement value insurance offered by the moving company.
Unpacking and resettling
How long does it take to unpack?
Typically, 1-2 days depending on when the movers deliver your belongings.
Do I need to dispose of the boxes and moving materials?
No, we will remove all boxes and supplies.
Who is going to hang my pictures and connect my television and computer to the internet?
We will ensure all the pictures are hung, utilities turned on, computer operational and TV’s are ready for viewing.
