All of our service providers must meet our strict guidelines for service, quality and reliability.

What is the value of your service?

The best answer to this question is peace of mind. Knowing you have a professional team managing the process and looking out for your health and wellness throughout the move reduces the emotional trauma and stress.

How does your move scheduling work?

Our team of Specialists will coordinate with your mover, so we will know when they are arriving to load your belongings. The morning move starts around 8am or 9am and ends when the last item in the truck is delivered to the new address.

Are you licensed, bonded and insured?

Absolutely! Just ask if you need a certificate.

What are your rates?

We charge a competitive hourly rate based on the number of hours to complete the process from start to finish. Our team of Specialists are trained in packing and unpacking to ensure timely completion while maintaining a high level of professionalism and competence. Feedback from our customers helps ensure our rates remain competitive based on the services provided.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept checks and major credit cards.

Do you provide a receipt?

Yes, we will provide a detailed receipt of services provided.

How far in advance do I need to book my move?

Moving companies are typically busiest at the end of the month and require advance notification to ensure availability. However, most movers can accommodate last-minute moves. We will work closely with you and the mover to ensure your move date is secured well in advance of the actual date.

What about deposits/cancellation fees?

A 30% deposit is requested at the time the contract is signed with The Downsizing Specialists. To avoid a cancellation fee from the moving company, we require a 96-hour (4 day) notice prior to the day of your move via email or phone.
